Round cotton modules are what you see in cotton fields once the cotton is harvested. Round cotton modules typically weigh around 2000 – 2500kg and measure around 239cm diameter and 244cm wide.

The round cotton modules are then taken to a gin for processing. During the ginning process, the cotton seeds and lint are separated, with the lint being pressed into rectangular bales.

Each cotton module holds around 3.8 cotton bales, weighing around 277kg each.

Polytex has been supplying the cotton industry for 30 years. In the late 1990’s and throughout the early 2000’s, Polytex manufactured module covers for the square cotton modules, protecting 1000’s of cotton growers from central Queensland and down throughout New South Wales.

The Polytex Cotton Wrap has been specifically designed to protect and preserve your round cotton modules. We have partnered with a high-quality manufacturer to give you a premium, reliable and durable product that aids hassle-free cotton picking. Proven with both growers and gins, our cotton module wrap ensures your valuable yield is safeguarded against the elements while maintaining its quality over time.

Premium Round Cotton Module Wrap for Australian Growers

The Polytex ModulePro® Cotton Wrap is a high-performance polyethylene (PE) wrap developed for harvesting cotton fibres. It protects modules from harvest through ginning and delivers dependable strength, weather resistance, and operational reliability that growers and gins trust.

Reliable Performance from Field to Gin

Modern cotton pickers have transformed harvesting efficiency. Polytex ModulePro® Cotton Wrap is engineered to keep pace with this technology, performing consistently as modules are formed and wrapped during the picking stage.

Designed for Australia’s tough cotton picking conditions, the Polytex ModulePro™ Cotton Wrap delivers reliable performance, exceptional durability and peace of mind from field to gin. Made from high-strength UV-stabilised linear low-density Polyethylene (LLDPE), ModulePro® provides the protection growers demand to maintain cotton quality and minimise losses during storage and transport.

Engineered for Strength & Durability: Polytex cotton wrap is engineered to be highly resistant to tearing, UV degradation, and moisture, providing a weatherproof barrier to protect the cotton. Our wrap utilises a non-tacky base film to prevent the cotton from sticking to the wrap, followed by a structure of tacky film to ensure the module will hold its uniformity during transportation and processing.

RFID codes for Accurate Traceability: Four RFID tags are applied to each wrap to enable identification and tracking throughout harvesting and the complete process.

Superior UV Protection: Multi-layer film technology with multiple UV inhibitors ensures high strength and protection against UV for durability in the field.

Trusted by Australian Growers: For over 30 years, Polytex has supported the Australian cotton industry with purpose-built protection solutions for growers and gins. As round module harvesting became standard, Polytex partnered with specialist manufacturers and tested the  cotton wrap in real Australian conditions, including heat, sun exposure, rain and demanding handling environments.

As round module pickers became standard, we identified the need for a competitive, high-quality wrap. We partnered with an established manufacturer, validated the spec in Australian conditions, and have now launched our own ModulePro® wrap, aligned with Australian quality standards and sold internationally.

How It Works

Polytex ModulePro® Cotton Wrap is produced using co-extruded polyethylene film technology, combining multiple engineered layers into a single high-performance wrap. Each layer plays a specific role in overall performance, contributing to strength, handling stability, and protection during storage and transport. Pre-defined sheet portions support efficient application and help reduce waste during harvesting.

The co-extruded multi-layer film technology also supports modern sustainability initiatives, including potential recyclability and reduced material waste.
